Little Chubbies

Don't you just love the "Baby Fat" that babies have? Kaylee sure has rounded into form. We still can't believe that she was only 5 lbs 5 oz at birth! She made up for it, that's for sure. She has finally gone a few nights without a feeding, and so we are hoping that sleeping through the night (without waking up - or having to put her in the all might swing for sleep) is right around the corner. And maybe after that, less fussy nap times? That would be heavenly!

I'm sure that we'll be in trouble for posting this pic one day! Gotta love it though!

Generally, Kaylee enjoys tummy time.

She really loves standing up and being able to look around. She'll rapidly turn her head from side to side to make sure that she's not missing anything!

She love us, really. At least we hope so! :)

Here's a cute outfit that Grandma bought her.

Not sure what to say about this picture! Cute!

Ouch!

This week Kaylee had her 2 month doctor's appointment (she really was 2 months & 2 weeks old). She weighed 11 lbs. 12 oz. and was 22 in. long. This puts her in the 75th percentile for weight (up from the 10th percentile at birth) and the 50th percentile for height. She got her first four shots, which hurt all of us. Mommy chose to wait outside, but could still hear the screaming! Kaylee was not a happy camper. She still has a big red spot on her leg from one of the shots. We are not looking forward to the next round of shots.

Kaylee also has discovered her hands - or maybe it is just a reflex. She is obsessed with sucking on them.

This is the only way Mommy could keep those hands out of her mouth!

Auntie Kelly loves any opportunity that she gets to hold little Boopers...

And here she is having a little too much fun!

We went on a walk this evening and Kaylee seems to really enjoy discovering the outside world.

I love Daddy!

Happy Father's Day!

Today's blog is dedicated to Jared on his first Father's Day. Unfortunately Kaylee came down with a cold this week and gave it to her daddy, so neither one of them is feeling great. As her father's day gift to Jared, Kaylee and I practiced the song "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home" all week. She did great until the "climb upon his knee" part (we hadn't practiced that). Jared enjoyed it even though she was crying by the end of the song. We hope you enjoy the pictures and videos of Kaylee from this week. Happy Father's Day Jared! You're a great dad!

Kaylee looks forward to Daddy coming home from work each day (so does mommy!)

We love Daddy!

Look at me hold my head up so high!

So cute!

Enjoy the videos!

2 Months Old!

Well Kaylee turned 2 months old on Monday, June 4th. It was a bitter sweet day...sweet because we just love seeing our little girl grow bigger and bitter because Daddy finally had to go back to work. I don't know about that work thing...it's over-rated. I think I'm going to retire early and we'll just be a stay-at-home family. What do you all think? Well enjoy some new footage of little Boopers!

No, those are not polka dot underwear... so don't feel bad for looking. Just a cute onesie.

Don't I look cute sitting on Grandpa's knees! I'm sure that these clothes will fit one day.

Hey dad, can I get a little help here?

Little miss pouty face. She wasn't in the mood for pictures quite yet.

Ok, now there's a smile!

I'll get one last good look at my handsome Daddy before he has to go back to work! Daddy don't go - just stay home!

"Explosive" Smile

Well I was talking to my brother Dustin today telling him about what I planned on putting on our blog. I told him that this was for everyone out there that thinks that having a baby is nothing but cute, 'n cuddly, fun 'n games. Now don't get us wrong, it is a lot of that (as you'll see by the pictures). My famous saying is: "It's a good thing you're cute...or else..." Anyway, enjoy the pictures of beautiful little Kaylee!

So cute and innocent isn't she?

Look at this smile! Tell me if this picture isn't background worthy?

Ok, can you sense a transition coming? Kaylee still looks pretty cute, but you can tell that drama is unfolding...

Oh, no! What happened here?

Now look closely - see the pool at the bottom? Hit the wall and dripped all the way down. Ah yes, these are the fun little things that keep mom and dad on their toes!

Guess who got to clean this mess up?

6 Weeks & Talking

It is so wonderful to be able to see our little girl as she grows and changes. She is beginning to make more sounds and is starting to smile back at us. It is also exciting to see that she is finally recognizing our faces! Enjoy a little clip of Kaylee (in one of her happy moments)!

Kaylee had some very excited visitors today! This is Jared's aunt Valerie and his cousins Tamara and Tracey. We were so glad to have them in our home to meet Kaylee. I think that aunt Val was ready to take Kaylee home with her!

This is my new favorite picture of Kaylee (at least this week it is; probably will change next week though...). We have to thank Joyce & Brooklynn for the cute little bow! I think that she models it very well.

Here's one proud Grandpa! He's always quick to let people know that Kaylee is his grand daughter (especially at church)!

Kaylee's Blessing

Sorry that it has taken so long to update our blog! I have been swamped with school lately (can't wait 'til that is over). We blessed Kaylee on Sunday, May 6th. It was such a wonderful day with friends and family all around. And of course we were so happy that she didn't cry during the blessing! The day was so wonderful and turned out to be an awesome testimony meeting as well! What a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives!

We just absolutely love our little angel in her beautiful white dress. Thanks G&G Thomson!
