The Nature Center

We decided that we actually wanted to do something on Jared's Friday off last week instead of just bum around the house. So we decided to take a short trip down to the Nature Center in Long Beach. We had so much fun walking around the trail. Kaylee loved seeing all of the squirrels along the way and it was great to get outside and enjoy the beauty around us. Take a look!

We were supposed to get some family pictures made last week, but someone - we won't say who - flaked out on us (don't worry, no hard feelings! Hehehe). So here is our attempt...

And here's little miss Kaylee messing around (with her new shirt from auntie Kelly and new shoes, I might add)!

And look at how big little Tyler is getting!!! And he's only 4 months old!
See how cute - they're holding hands!

Thanks Auntie Kelly!!!

Last week Kaylee's auntie Kelly finished knitting a shirt for Kaylee. Yeah, that's right - she made it! She's so talented! Kaylee loved wearing it and she sure looked cute in it! Thank auntie Kelly!!!

Kaylee's cousin Tyler came over too and he got some loves from Kaylee. What a cute boy! We love him!

Pucker up, little buddy!

Kaylee also got to go to the Japanese Gardens at CSULB with her friend Samuel. Aren't they cute together?!

And here are some more random pics of Kaylee and her new shirt from auntie Kelly.

Where's the Bow?

It's been way too hot for Kaylee to wear any pants all summer long (we wish we had air conditioning!). In fact, Kaylee spends most of her days with a sweaty head because she runs around all over the house and is such a busy body. But the weather has cooled as of late and so we wanted Kaylee to wear this 12 month outfit at least once since it was a gift.

Does she need a bow?

She got this new water bottle from her aunty Kelly the other day and she just loves it. The night she got it, she drank so much water that the next morning she woke up and her PJs were wet! Hehe...

Now there's one CHEESY grin!

Our Little Teenager!

We got a new house phone over the weekend and Kaylee is OBSESSED with playing with them! Oh my goodness! She just wants to be a big girl I guess. But it's so funny - she'll get the phone and run straight to her room and then she'll want to sit in her chair and just talk and talk and talk on the phone. Yeah, I know. We're in big trouble. And she's not even two years old yet! Can you imagine what the teenage years are gonna bring?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Here's how the conversation went...

"Yeah, I know and he was like...(blah blah blah)"

"No, you're kidding me! He said what?!" (more blah blah blah...)

"Excuse me! Can I get a little privacy here!?"

Little Kaylee and the daddy were having some fun with bath time last night and we took some pics of Kaylee's luscious locks...

New Sunday Dress

We were just thinking the other day that we needed to get Kaylee some new dresses (she wore a 9 month dress to church the other week). Thank goodness for Kaylee's Gramma Wurtz! She came to the rescue and bought a new dress. We took a bunch of pics of her sporting it!

Daddy was goofing off in the background to try and get her to smile. It worked!

We just love that smile!

Daddy and his sweet little angel...

Our next door neighbor, Veronica, just loves coming over and playing with Kaylee. She had a ball playing with Veronica's hat...

Here are some other random pics of Kaylee...

Happy Birthday Holly!

Happy Birthday to Holly! Holly's birthday was on Wed. last week. It started off like normal, feeding Kaylee breakfast. But Kaylee decided that she wanted to use the new spoon that Grandpops and Meme gave her all by herself.

So far so good...

This is starting to get a little more interesting (and messy)...

By the end of her meal (of playing with her meal) she was quite proud of the mess she had made! The best part was that I didn't have to clean it up! Hehe...but Holly and Kaylee had fun and we got some cute pics out of it too!

Now I'd like to take credit for what we did next, but I have to confess it was all Holly's idea (mostly). She told me what she wanted to do for her birthday (I had no complaints). We went down to Shoreline Village in downtown Long Beach and had dinner. Then we rented a bike and rode it along the beach and took in some sights. It was a lot of fun and it reminded us of how long it had been since we had a night out just the two of us!

Pretty sunset...

Holly used to work in the tall building on the right.

We love Holly so very much!
