Those darn Halloween costumes are so expensive these days! Holy cow. So Holly decided that she would try and make Kaylee's costume this year. She found the wings for Kaylee's costume at a second-hand store for like $4 and then she made the rest (sewed the leotard, made the antennas and put the little fluffies on her shoes) ! I think that it turned out quite well. Isn't she just the cutest little butterfly you've ever seen?

Tornado Kaylee
Holly took Kaylee to the doctor's office on Friday for her 18 month checkup. She's now 23 lbs (25th %) and 30.5 inches (50th %). She got a cold last week from nursery, so she didn't get her shots yet. But the Doc says she's doing great!
The other day while Holly was going through the mail Kaylee decided that she wanted to get some cereal out of the pantry. Instead of pouring it into a bowl, she decided to empty the entire box onto the floor! But she had a lot of fun playing in it like it was sand. Who says you have to go to the beach to play in the sand?

Protect Marriage - YES on Proposition 8!
We have been up to our eye balls here in good ole Cali trying to protect marriage! I believe that this is the single most important issue of our generation! We want any and all who read our blog to know that we support Proposition 8 and the divine institution of marriage between a man and a woman. We desperately need all the help that we can get! Please help us protect marriage by encouraging any and all of your California friends, families or other associates to vote YES on Proposition 8! It WILL affect us all!
We have included some links to websites here and some videos that we think are important. If you would like to learn more, please visit the websites and they will give you more information as to why this issue is so important. We invite you all to do what you can and help us Protect Marriage!

The Nature Center
We decided that we actually wanted to do something on Jared's Friday off last week instead of just bum around the house. So we decided to take a short trip down to the Nature Center in Long Beach. We had so much fun walking around the trail. Kaylee loved seeing all of the squirrels along the way and it was great to get outside and enjoy the beauty around us. Take a look!

We were supposed to get some family pictures made last week, but someone - we won't say who - flaked out on us (don't worry, no hard feelings! Hehehe). So here is our attempt...
And here's little miss Kaylee messing around (with her new shirt from auntie Kelly and new shoes, I might add)!
And look at how big little Tyler is getting!!! And he's only 4 months old!See how cute - they're holding hands!

Thanks Auntie Kelly!!!
Last week Kaylee's auntie Kelly finished knitting a shirt for Kaylee. Yeah, that's right - she made it! She's so talented! Kaylee loved wearing it and she sure looked cute in it! Thank auntie Kelly!!!

Where's the Bow?
It's been way too hot for Kaylee to wear any pants all summer long (we wish we had air conditioning!). In fact, Kaylee spends most of her days with a sweaty head because she runs around all over the house and is such a busy body. But the weather has cooled as of late and so we wanted Kaylee to wear this 12 month outfit at least once since it was a gift.
Does she need a bow?
Does she need a bow?
Now there's one CHEESY grin!

Our Little Teenager!
We got a new house phone over the weekend and Kaylee is OBSESSED with playing with them! Oh my goodness! She just wants to be a big girl I guess. But it's so funny - she'll get the phone and run straight to her room and then she'll want to sit in her chair and just talk and talk and talk on the phone. Yeah, I know. We're in big trouble. And she's not even two years old yet! Can you imagine what the teenage years are gonna bring?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Here's how the conversation went...
"Yeah, I know and he was like...(blah blah blah)"
